Fernie Search and Rescue was needed Monday to rescue two stranded hikers on Mount Hosmer.
The hikers had found themselves far off route and were both in steep and loose terrain.
With their options limited, they called Fernie SAR, who set two technicians to the site to help out.
The volunteers were able to locate the pair by helicopter and extricated them both by long line.
They were flown to the Hartley Lake recreation site before being transported back to Fernie.
No one was injured in Monday’s incident.
