Residents in one neighbourhood of Kimberley won’t be getting any water again next week.
A second total water shutdown has been planned for the Forest Crowne area as part of a key system upgrade that started in late July.
“This work is part of essential infrastructure maintenance for the Forest Crowne subdivision,” wrote the City of Kimberley. “It is necessary to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the water system.”
The City reminds residents that there will be no access to tap water, toilets, or water-based appliances during that time.
You can grab water from the Aquatic Centre during regular hours with valid proof of address. Residents can also prepare by filling bathtubs or buckets for cleaning and keeping enough water to drink for at least 24 hours.
The shutdown is scheduled from 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, to Wednesday, August 20.
