The final results and medal counts are now in for BC Summer Games in Maple Ridge and some more local athletes that weren’t included at the end of competition Sunday, have now been added.
Among those: Fernie’s Sienna Ross and Riley Prentice who took bronze in Beach Volleyball.
The Zone 1 girls volleyball team also won bronze.
Included on the squad was Jaffray’s Pearl Crabbe, Sara Amos from Baynes Lake…Evie Woodall, Ailish Leith, Charlie and Lucy Staples, all from Fernie…Sparwood’s Stella Pinchak, Kaleigh Ackerman from Wardner, Kimberley’s Pieta Bell, and Avaya Morrison, Scarlett Taggart, and Kiera Downey, who call Cranbrook home.
Zone 1, the Kootenays, finished with 26 medals – 6 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze.
